What is EtherGem?
EtherGem, "EGEM," True to its roots as a cryptocurrency, There is no Premine or ICO on EGEM and EGEM is its own primary blockchain, not just a token or concept on another chain. The EtherGem blockchain is an ethereum network, meaning it starts with the tested and proven ethereum (ETH) core technologies and builds from there. Technically EGEM is a Ethereum chain as described in the yellow paper, with EIP150, EIP155, EIP158 applied from block 0.Learn More
What is Sapphire?
EtherGem’s Sapphire, an integrated subchain with DeX, is a PoW blockchain with a target 5 seconds block time that observes the EGEM chain while conducting independent business on its own structure. Miners "solo" or "dual” mine SFRX (with EGEM!). Our mining algorithm is Blake2s with custom modifications based on community support for things like ASIC resistance. Sapphire can be mined with both CPU and GPU, using our custom built miner. Sapphire uses the same EGEM account address users are accustomed to holds a multicurrency balance, with a rebuild of the Opal wallet to facilitate these enhancements. The decentralized exchange trades on chain from this wallet. Original coins can launch on the sapphire chain as a mineable ICO and transfer or trade out of the same address. Other chain currencies can be locked in “quantum swaps” in this same multicurrency wallet. We loosely call this our “5 second BTC” (link to proof on bitcointalk). Early EGEM adopters received 2 times their EGEM holdings as a Sapphire airdrop taken at EGEM block 1,530,000 with balances available at launch on Sapphire chain.Download Opal
What We do
We are a community project built by a group of passionate programers and developers.
We take pride in that we are very quick to fix issues.
A custom form of masternode based around discord.js and web3.js.
Our blockchain is protected by PirlGuard as a base line defense and with SFRX we will enhance both chains security with additional protection.
We offer a wide variety of API endpoints for developers and normal users to take part in the EGEM network.
The wiki is the knowledge database where we store anything we can to help the community learn and grow.
We are comprised of users, coders, and designers from all over the world, in all shapes, sizes, genders and colors.
